Two Moon Lodge is now open for business!
The gradual resumption of services in Quebec is underway and outfitters will be permitted to host overnight guests who reside in the same household as of June 1st. We are optimistic that within two weeks, the single-family restriction will be lifted to allow mixed groups from various households to stay in the same cabin and hopefully, not long thereafter, restrictions on travel from the United States will allow us to welcome our American friends back to Lake Kipawa.
Here at Two Moon Lodge, we are proceeding cautiously with our re-opening. Over the past four weeks, we have brought in extra help, worked hard at giving each of the cabins a thorough deep cleaning, removing contact sharing items and have been preparing our facilities for a safe reopening. The COVID shutdown has also given us an opportunity to replace some roofs with quality metal, paint cabins and give some much needed love to this remote place. We are excited about sharing these improvements with you.
A fishing vacation in the age of COVID will mean some changes for operators and guests alike. How we maintain social distance as we welcome and transport guests, accepting contactless payment, what you bring and how we sanitize cabins and equipment—every aspect of the trip will be affected in some way by the measures put in place to assure the safety of our guests and our staff.
We understand that everyone has a different experience regarding the COVID situation. For us, we need to plan for our own safety, the safety of our guests, provincial regulations, industry best practices and common sense. It’s not an easy balance! Some of our guests have opted to rebook for next year, while others are looking forward to getting away from crowds to recharge in the fresh air and open space of nature. We want you to feel confident that whatever decision you make, is the right decision for you.
We have been talking with many of our guests over the past few weeks and will be reaching out personally to each of you prior to your trip this year. Know that we pick up the phone at the lake, so please feel free to call if you want to chat or ask us a question. We also post photos and updates on our social media sites if you would like to check out the latest.
We look forward to sharing the beauty of Lake Kipawa once again with you.
