Activities

So Much More than Great Fishing

If there is one thing that is special about Two Moon Lodge, it is that we are blessed with the largest variety of activities at our doorstep and we have the equipment to enjoy fun in the outdoors.

Wilderness Trails

Unique to Two Moon Lodge is the network of maintained trails that offer intimate access to the Canadian wilderness. Our main trails are lined with birch, aspen and pine and feature flat terrain, suitable for walking, running or mountain bikers of all ages. A more rugged lakeside loop provides a 45 minute hike through prime moose, beaver and grouse habitat.

Silent Water Sports

Our ideal location on a sandy point means there is always a place sheltered from the wind to enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking, our stand-up paddleboard or rowing scull. A short paddle or hike brings you to a secluded sand beach that we maintain for our guests. Jet-skis are not permitted to our lodge while waterskiing or tubing can occur off-site.

Waterfront Yoga

Daily yoga sessions occur each morning on the outdoor kitchen patio or indoors in the main lodge and have become a Two Moon Lodge trademark. All are invited to join Julie, a certified fitness and yoga instructor, for 45 minutes of stretching and relaxation.

Outdoor Kitchen and Pizza Oven

The wooden deck overhanging Loon Bay is the central meeting place for families and groups to enjoy time together, share meals, have a fish fry or connect to our Starlink high-speed wifi. The kitchen features commercial gas burners and flat-iron griddle, gas and wood grill, and a huge brick pizza oven. Once each week we light up the oven for guests to cook their own wood-fired pizza.

Dark Sky Experiences

At dusk, Two Moon Point becomes a wonderland under the stars. We have a central campfire circle to enjoy with family and friends. You can take in the Milky Way, look at planets and galaxies with our Dobsonian Telescope, watch a full moonrise, or if you are lucky, experience the Northern Lights. Located in a designated Dark Sky Area (Level 2 Bortle), Two Moon Lodge is the perfect place to experience the night sky.

Outdoor Games and Rainy Day Activities

One great thing of being located on an open grass point is that it is perfect for horseshoes, bocce, croquet, corn hole, and frisbee. We have a central campfire circle with benches. If the weather turns wet, our “Loon Library” stocks board games, puzzles, crafts for the children and, of course, tons of books.

Nearby

A short boat ride or paddle from the camp is Picnic Island, where our guests can enjoy a shorelunch fish fry or campfire. The cliff-lined canyon of Campbell Bay makes for a scenic boat trip and great cliff-jumping. A short drive from the landing is Opémican National Park, home to fantastic hiking and  world-class whitewater paddling on the Kipawa River.
