Dear Friends,
We hope that you are coping well and that everyone has been able to remain healthy. Spring is here and signs of hope are everywhere. The lake ice is almost gone and we plan to make our annual return to Two Moon Lodge in early May, which is consistent with past ice-out dates.
Some good news! Due to the low number of COVID-19 cases in the Abitibi-Temiscamingue region, the provincial government of Quebec has announced that travel restrictions will be lifted on May 11, and elementary schools and stores will be allowed to reopen. While tourist camps and outfitters have not been named specifically yet, we are confident that we will be permitted to resume operations in the near future. For now, the Canadian border with the United States still remains closed for recreational travel. We are in regular contact with the Quebec Outfitters Federation and will communicate developments with our guests via email as well as regular social media posts.
We will reach out to you in the coming weeks with an update and what preventive measures we will be putting in place to assure the safety and comfort of our guests, as specified by the health authorities.
We would like to thank everyone for the support you have shown us and your love for the Kipawa wilderness. We are impressed with how committed everyone is to making it back to Two Moon Lodge. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Happy fishing,
Dave and Julie
